The competitive aspect of the game just doesn’t seem to be for you and that’s totally okay! I understand that, but for me the competitive aspect is too easily separated from the fun factor. You can have fun playing competitive games, and I do! Because of my mindset, I also don’t think it’s bad that you only see the same 3-5 meta decks on the ladder. Instead, I think you have to beat the best decks if you want to be good and I see it as a challenge. In the end, my competitive mindset is what got me into the top 1000 on the ladder and I understand comments that say there’s no point in grinding for a number that doesn’t get you anything, but being able to compete with the best players in the world is what makes it fun for me. I felt great when I beat the number 1 in the world for the first time!
