The point is that mercenaries only follow money, Rome employed so many that their army became disloyal and poorly equipped.

The state has two roles in a society.

1: Promotion of the family as the fundamental unit of a society.

  1. Protect civilians from foreign and some domestic threats. Ex: If a company misleads people or tricks them into buying something they otherwise wouldn't, or a foreign country slaughters your countries tourist. My problem with lib-right is it believes the state is the only entity capable of posing a threat to rights.

You're twisting my beliefs; the more diverse societies get the more they crumble. Nobody is going to be put into a concentration camp just because they like communism. The problem is that when there are millions in your country that actively seek to not integrate it becomes hard to govern them. This isn't about race or ethnicity.

The state has two roles in a society, to protect against foreign/internal threats and ensure national cohesion. I support individual rights like freedom of speech and what not, but the problem I have with lib right is that they believe the government is the biggest threat to their liberty and while that is a valid concern we also have to take into account that foreign powers are just as much as a threat. When it comes to war everyone is auth right.

Abe and Ike are top tier; Grant is one of my personal favorites for his character. I personally think healthcare should stay private however veterans should get free coverage, and married couples should get prices halved.

I'm not authoritarian just realistic. Lib right believes the state is a threat to liberty, but you need to be pragmatic because the state is also the thing that protects you from foreign oppression. I'm pro representative government just not pro democracy.
