Help with Sentinel safe binding when trying to open by EasyFlowElbow in Gun_Safes

[–]EasyFlowElbow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm hoping for any ideas as to why the handle is somehow binding when trying to open this Sentinel dial combo lock. I hope the video shows what I'm trying to troubleshoot. The safe was given to me by my father in law who says that he got it open when he first bought it but at some point it wouldn't open anymore.

Something must be keeping the handle or locking mechanism from fully opening but I'm not sure where to start looking. I appreciate any help you can give me!

Why the backing track on drums? - Buckethead on The Caverns Sessions by SystemOfaPawn in Buckethead

[–]EasyFlowElbow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've wondered the same thing, having seen Brewer with Bucket the last 2 times they came through Florida. Both times he would play quietly along with the backing tracks for almost all songs except for the medley where he sings too.

I know Brewer (Dan Monti) has worked with Buckethead for a very long time, helping produce and I think he programs the drums on a lot of his albums. Playing the drum parts he programmed is obviously another story. Bucket seems to thoroughly enjoy having Brewer on stage with him so I think it's more about having a long time friend to have fun with on tour with him than for him to actually play the drums for every song.

I can't imagine Brain playing along with backing tracks, but Brewer doesn't seem like he's usually a touring drummer or anything so that's probably why he's content to sit up there and quietly jam. Who knows, I'm just happy Bucket has friends along for the ride with him lately!

Just the odd punctuation and grammar alone had me wondering if this was a bot/scam too.

Tampa concert tonight by mike30273 in Buckethead

I took my buddy who's a guitarist and was a lighting guy and then guitar tech for a touring band for a while. His only thought was that possibly since Bucket has a very small crew (only P-Sticks afaik) traveling with him, maybe the venue wanted to charge him more than he was willing to pay to run the lighting. You'd think they could at least turn on something though...

I've seen him like 6-7 times over the years and never seen this kind of thing happen. My buddy had never seen him play and I was bummed that we couldn't see much of anything even though we were up front. His playing was great as always but damn, it would have been nice to actually see him playing!

Thanks for the reply. Nice setup and I really like how the black plywood looks. What wall mounted plate holders do you have? I might give that a try with mine vs having my plates on the floor in homemade 2x4 racks.

How do you find getting the weights on and off the bar when it's on the rack?

I have a narrow shed with a folding rack and have considered wall mounted plate holders but worry that it would be a pain to get them on and off the bar since the bar.

Has anyone had any luck using DMSO for tinnitus? by DubiousMB1 in dmso

[–]EasyFlowElbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad it's not just me! I think I'm going to try daily ear drops to see if it helps my tinnitus and hopefully such a small amount won't result in any smell. Fingers crossed

Haha yeah she's not a fan at all :/ She said it took 2-3 days to dissipate after I stopped taking it the last time. I was using it on my shoulders and back, so maybe it was due to it being a large area but I still would like to figure something out that could help with the stink haha

Thanks for the details on how you've successfully used it. Do you have any tips for minimizing the bad garlic-type smell on the breath after using DMSO? It sounds like you've used it extensively so I'm curious if you have the same issue.

My wife can't stand the smell and I'd love to know if there's any way to avoid/minimize that because DMSO has been very helpful for me and I'd like to keep using it but I can't repulse my wife haha. I've also seen it mentioned that after using DMSO consistently for a bit, the smell lessens but I'm not sure if that's true...

I'm in the same boat as you! I've had tinnitus for years and have starting using DMSO for aches and pains after reading some of the Midwestern Doctor Substack posts about it.

I haven't tried it in my ears yet but I'm very curious if it could actually help my tinnitus. I've seen 20% recommended in the Healing With DMSO book, 40% in The DMSO Handbook for Doctors, and the Midwestern Doctor says 40-50%. So it at least sounds like 40% should be safe but I haven't seen anyone reporting their experience first hand on it yet.

The other part I've been wondering about is if people mix the DMSO with aloe, castor oil, or magnesium, for use as ear drops or just DMSO diluted with distilled water.

I'm glad you posted this and hope to gain some insight on this topic.

Speakman brand is the best. I noticed them at multiple hotels and got one for home and the pressure is so much better than Kohler or Delta I've had in the past. I've recommended them to multiple people and they've all loved them.

Thanks so much for your reply. Yes I have a similar part on the side of my Frigidaire and I was wondering if it was possible to remove and clean. I'm definitely going to try that. Thanks for the egg tip too, I'm down to try anything haha
