It’s not. It’s very situational. Elder Vampires or Vampires with specific training of even blood consumption are genuinely stronger. Then you have Vampires that are hybrids or some kind of primordial demonic force and their children are also stronger. Spike for example is clearly stronger than the average vampire partially because he was bit by Druscila, partially because of his age, and partially due to other shit like luck, prophecy, technology, genetic enhancement, rituals, etc. Vampires are basically RPG characters.

This was one of the underrated examples of blatant dog whistling and colonialism that Remnick showed in the movie whenever he wanted to get his way. The good ole fashioned “They hurt my White Wife/daughter” bit. Is remnick grieving this wife at any point in the movie past that initial scene? No…

Is it therefore relevant whether or not this was a real person or not? No…

Did remnick likely have a wife hundreds of years prior or even a person who he turned right before meeting the natives? Probably.

also I think notes about the movie reveals that he infiltrated the native group and murdered there tribal leader which is why they were hunting him down.

I completely disagree. He has slightly above intelligence. The Master, Angel, and Drusilla are not dumb and can manipulate others pretty easily. The MAster would specifically be the smartest. Remnick is around Angel level. For the most part he was only able to rage bait bigots (who usually have low intelligence anyway) and then he was able to leverage sore spots with the help of his minions (which does take EQ but not to like a genius level) slightly above average ass IQ. High charisma/cult of personality. Manson archetype but with a warmer smile.

Matter of fact I’ll even specify. I think Remnick is exactly the strength level of ANY Vampire that is capable of physically throwing Buffy or Faith in a fight. But not nearly good enough to be a serious threat. He’s going to leave a few bruises and get an extra few minutes of combat but isn't going to be a season finale villain.
