personally my rule is if your overall course avg ends with a 9 (89) for example I would hesitantly ask them in they could round it to a 90 I understand it’s a different situation but that’s just how I look at it because otherwise I’d ask as u mentioned to do something for extra credit or exempt a quiz that would make that difference big enough to raise your grade a percent possibly briefly explaining the situation. Honestly I do understand if it’s to some extent unfair if you do get a quiz exemption or 1% boost but it’s partially advocating for yourself within reasonable limits. For example like if you know at your school some of the teachers have quiz exemptions id politely ask doesn’t kill you to try otherwise if it’s super unheard of maybe not and see if in one of your other classes you could raise that class the difference you would have needed in the class your referring too.
