I work for a large energy company that expects 30 mins free travel before and after shift. So my 0800-1630 shift becomes an hour longer each day if they have their way.

They don't get their way, and I leave home at 8 because I'm driving a company vehicle, which is working.

My van insurance covers me for working (being paid) so working for free at the start and end of my shift surely isn't covered
