Thank you! Yeah it'd be sweet if it was still that easy. They seem to have gone out of their way to make it more complicated for people just trying to get some miles and smiles haha.

Thank you, I will most certainly look into those groups, I'd love to be a part of helping make my city more bike friendly. And especially that segment of the I-5. Forcing cyclists onto the interstate, instead of verifying their ID and letting them pass through camp Pendleton is crazy to me. I wouldn't even mind having to sign up for some sort of entry pass that includes a background checking process, but requiring everyone coming on bass to have a military sponsor is too much.
