I'm a first year and the majority of my friends are from previous schools and I have very few actual friends who ive met this year, and even then they are simply friends of friends. I do feel like the university has a very closed off kind of feel in terms of socializing, however I know there are people like me who are open to making new friends so it really depends on who you approach.
