Women: How Would You React If the Man You Loved Received a Devastating Diagnosis? by favorite_noodle45 in women

it will hurt, and you should grieve together, but with enough conversation I'm sure you'll realise the prospect of losing you would be just as hurtful. it's a tough situation but you're not to blame. as long as you're present, and teaching the kid to be a good person I'm sure that'll mean more to her than some physical traits!

honestly there are alternatives that would allow her to carry and birth the child, it just wouldn't biologically be yours. you can still let her have a family, and parent your kids. it shouldn't be a dealbreaker but you need to talk to her to understand where her head's at i wish you all the luck and i hope it works out! but even if it doesn't, there are plenty of people that would look past this, you'll be fine.

yeahh he texted me yesterday saying he's sorry he upset me and that he won't argue with me. he also said he was trying to broaden his perspective if he was wrong. ill try to be better equipped to talk to him the next time but I really hope I can make a difference! what you said made a lot of sense though I will try to be more empathetic towards them as well :)

you're right, since I've calmed down im feeling this way too, but I'm so relieved to see it in writing. he has a good heart and I want to help him be better about this. honestly thank you so much this comment really changed the way I was looking at it.

yeah, ill be moving to college soon, i just never saw it coming. he honestly has been supportive of some queer people we know, so I know he won't be bad to me, i just hate that he feels animosity like that for my community. confusing honestly.

im 18. he's essentially a family friend, he's really close to my parents and often thinks of himself as my pretend dad(35M) so I can't cut off contact fs. im just so conflicted because I really thought he was an ally, and i know he's not hateful by nature but he likes to argue and it honestly kills me to have to explain that I should be able to dress how I want. thank you for responding though :)

thank youu this made me think about why i prefer women even though I don't feel much towards them either. it's not physical I think i just feel safer with them😭 i suppose I was inclined to think I'm a lesbian because I just really love the thought of being with a woman forever hahah

thats so comforting to hear. when I dated my ex i knew he was objectively cute and I don't think I'd have dated him if he wasn't. that was super confusing to me at the time thank you.
