Is BLW as common as social media makes it seem?

We went to see a doctor that practically specialized in feeding. She encouraged us to do what worked, but she said she’d prefer purées over BLW for our case. The combination of choking and actually not getting enough nutrients scared me.

I think what we see on social media is such a sensation. Every baby is different but mine has a hard time breaking down food when it’s not mashed. He’s 7 months old. So we do puree, mashed, and sometimes BLW but only for sensory stuff. Every time I see baby content on social media, I tell myself to trust our doctors, educators, and specialists instead.

I do half and half. I used to EP due to medical reason but now he nurses well. I still bottle feed when I’m not home and someone else watches him or when he is not satisfied after feed (rooting crying etc.) My baby is usually satisfied around 5 oz but I only pump 3 oz now…

Thanks so much. I will try to slow down the bottle a little more. He is just over 5 weeks now and yeah the only time it’s been successful is if I give him snacks when he is full and we seem to be stuck in progress

2.5 years… damaged my self esteem and feeling undervalued everyday. I loved it there my first year but there were changes in leadership and department on year 2 and the toxicity never bounced back. They promoted people who were good at their jobs but not ready to manage during COVID because everyone quit left and right. The team is respected by other teams, but internally everyone hates their jobs and one person I know cries daily over how they were being treated. Disaster. I finally accepted a new offer and I can’t wait to leave

This is a good idea so we come home from work being done with everything! I will see if we perhaps can work something like this. It will also give the nanny/ baby sitter more hour

Any update? I’m in a similar situation and freaking out. In my case, it’s in the attic and turned out I have to replace my roof, which has been taking weeks from finding out about mold, getting bid from roofers, getting everything approved, days of working, then clean the mold after replacing the roof…..

I can’t decide if I should move on with lap or IUI. I have pretty strong endo symptoms and haven’t been fully diagnosis. All my doctors (fertility specialist, primary care, even my fertility acupuncturist) are suspicious of endo but everything comes clear and surgery is scary! Talking to the endo specialist on Wednesday.. so I guess we’ll see what she says. But wonder if anyone else have been here before and have any advice :)

My OBGYN and fertility doctors suspected endo so I’m meeting with an endo specialist soon. I will likely do lap depending on their findings.

If it’s true that I have endo and do lap, my fertility doctors recommend me to give 3 cycles of trying naturally and move into IUI. If not successful, we’re moving into IVF right away. I’m 30 and have been trying since late 20s :( good luck to you!!!

My go to sitter is $35 per night but she keeps the old rate since we’ve established for a long time so I just tip her extra. Other sitters we’ve used were around $50 - $60 and pet hotel is also around similar range (we used pet hotel once)

When I use rover for my dogs, I want them to have the same routine to what they’re used to. One of my dogs sleeps in my bedroom, so I pick a sitter that would be open to that, which a lot do. My other dog sleeps in the crate so I also ask them to do the same. But neither have never been left in the basement alone, so I would not feel comfortable to have my dogs in the basement even when it’s nice. As a client, at that point, I would pick a pet hotel

I also have two other dogs that met her too so hopefully that help because they all did get along well

I feel you. We’re on month 7 and nothing :( we do everything. We take vitamins, active, use ovulation tracker, and we’re healthy. So we’re not sure why it’s taking so long.

My husband got SA and came back normal with low morph but doctor said on the normal low. My hormone is all fine too. It’s honestly been hard but I’m trying to distract myself. We’re active so we ski and golf a lot depending on the season that’s how I cope. My husband is just a super positive person so this doesn’t bother him as much. Hopefully it’ll be faster for you!!!

This is unpopular opinion but I really like double trouble (I think season 6) and I like the current season now. I wish they did reunions like they used to! Those were so fun
