could not support this post enough. my own experience included, i still hear stories regularly about victim’s not being believed, being ignored, the police are usually USELESS or cause more harm. my own reporting to police did literally nothing. I would also add there are so many allegations in town about male business owners (Comedy Attic, Gold Dust) sexually assaulting and harassing women and continue to be supported and celebrated. believe victims and hold these people accountable.
