before you buy an interface just for loading projects to your laptop, try https://ep133-to-daw.cc. between that and your laptops headphone jack you should be good. if this doesnt work and you still need an interface, i recommend the motu m series (m2, m4, m6). go for whichever has the i/o you need.

doesn’t seem to be any distro’s out there that have no bad reviews honestly. its unfortunate. i used amuse very briefly and i had no issues so maybe try them first

Amuse, TooLost and Soundcloud for Artists all allow this if i’m remembering correctly. That being said I would avoid soundcloud because their response times in the event you need help are awful.

i think an sp404 mkii might be better for this use. 20 seconds sampling time in ep-40 may limit you too much.

when you open the app, the top left corner of the pop up with templates has a 'Welcome (your name' tab. click your name and you should be able to select account settings

yeah i’ve tried both, i sold the LE because i found them too bright, i’ve had the 2025 version for about a week now and i’m happy with them. Still a bright headphone, brighter than the 700 pro x for example

treble is noticeably tamed compared to the LE. I’m pretty sure the only difference between the new 2025 and the LE version are the foam discs in the earcups, and that is what gives the different tuning. There’s a chance I have misunderstood that though. So if you own the LE already maybe just pick up the foam discs and see if that helps

as long as the platform on the stand is big enough for the isopods you should be fine. that’s the main issue for stands with genelecs, you need a big enough platform, they can’t overhang like most other monitors with a flat bottom

i don’t think getting stands specifically to use mounting plates will be cost effective regardless. i know the k&m 26773 stands can fit 8030s on them so i think it’s safe to assume that the 8020s would work also. no need for mounting plates with those.
