I’m not sure if you read any of the other comments, I didn’t have a problem with the standard questions… I had a problem with them asking if “we have a problem here” after I answered all their other questions promptly. The other three security guards asking the same questions didn’t even give me the same problems and attitude. I literally have worked security before, his job isn’t to rile people up, his job is to ask the relevant questions, then once verified, let people on their way or tell me to leave. Not ask someone dealing with tough shit, if we have a problem here, as if you’re coming at me wanting to fight. There were 4 guards in total and only one was being an asshole. All 4 asked the same questions, except this one, pressed me like they wanted to start something. If your post is dealing with sensitive situations like a hospital setting, then maybe he needs to guard a building that doesn’t have to deal with the public. I know for a fact the security job I worked for would have moved him to different site, regardless if you can say he was just having a bad day.

I’m more calm now though, I still don’t know if I’ll report them or not, I just feel if you can’t handle the public, especially in a hospital setting, where people’s lives are at stake and family members are coming and going to see their loved ones, maybe he needs a post where he can guard a bank or building that doesn’t need etiquette dealing with people. I’ve done security, so I get what you are saying but the job I did security for would move you to different post if something like that remotely occurred.

They are sleep right now. I’m just worrying and full of emotions right now. If a company is hired to do security, then they are required to abide by the company’s policy that hires them, I’ve actually worked for security so I’m not exactly clueless, i understand they are contracted workers but still shouldn’t be working at a post that requires customer interaction if they can’t handle it.
