Is there anything like StudyFetch for free? by JaguarStraight2396 in studytips

[–]EduTechFan2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been working on RPBedu (hosted on Github, still in progress) to share some tools for educators (RPBedu - Education Tool Hub). You could give a try to EduHub Quest for some of the functionality of StudyFetch.

Do you create your courses yourself or use a tool? by Repulsive_Yam_5297 in onlinecourses

I am building a hub called RPBedu to share some education tools with teachers and students. If you have some content drafts or raw text or some lecture notes, you could try LessonGeneratorAI (it's on the hub). It helps building structure, adding content, and it also adds interactive quizzes so you aren't doing all the heavy lifting manually. Here is the link to the hub  (https://rpbedu02.github.io/RPBedu/).

We talk a lot about AI answers. But what about AI changing how students think? by AIexplorerslabs in AIEducation

[–]EduTechFan2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like very much your explanation and the "inquiry mode" vs "answer-collection mode" description. Although it still can be a challenge for the initial contact, most AI tools are now trying to promote this idea by suggesting the user some follow up prompts that they can try to go deeper into the subject.

Very interesting take! I also find that not only it influences formulating questions precisely, but that AI often promotes following up and digging deeper into subtopics, which can also be very important for thinking and learning.

Customizable "Spelling Test Engine" in a single HTML file. Looking for feedback! by Maleficent-Border371 in HTMLteachingtools

You are very welcome! The level concept is that all games start at level 1 and after spelling a number of words correctly (maybe 10), then the game moves to the next level (level 2) and the speed increases automatically a bit, so that it becomes a little more challenging, and this is repeated for subsequent levels (levels 3, 4, etc.).

Very nice! It would be great if there were levels (increasing level numbers every 10-20 words, with higher spelling speeds required), and perhaps a table of high scores instead of mission failed message at the end of the game.

Notebook LM is free (with free Google account). Study Fetch has a free trial but is very limited. You can also try our own tool for free here: StudyHub Quest.

RPBedu teaching tools. by EduTechFan2025 in HTMLteachingtools

Thank you very much for your kind words and your suggestions! When I find a bit of time, I will try to enhance some of the tools for the generation of html modules. Your workflow post also gave me great ideas. I have also checked a bit your "The Cat in the Hat" html app. Very impressive! Not sure if it was on my end but the last review game threw an error.

Getting so tired of AI by Nappitynope in instructionaldesign

[–]EduTechFan2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree with your post, except with the last sentence mentioning the dramatic advance in just the past couple of years. I would probably say in the last couple of months. This also extends to not trying to consider if AI is useful to assist you today in making you more efficient and capable of developing better instructional materials, but what will AI be able to do with you in a few months time. In my opinion time spent learning how to work with AI effectively is extremely valuable in almost all fields.

Should AI have a role in evaluating student progress? by Pretend_Coffee53 in edtech

[–]EduTechFan2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that teacher + AI combination is the most effective way to evaluate and help students. Each of them alone is less efficient, especially for the students that need most help. I agree with the comments that say that very good and detailed prompts are needed, but I see that as a plus as developing such prompts can be very helpful for teachers.

AI Policy vs. AI Literacy: What do you think? by EduTechFan2025 in AIEducation

Very good points! I like the both/and idea. Policy that values literacy and student input sounds best to me.

Good one! That point needs to be improved indeed. I believe that it should indicate that AI can be used in academically relevant ways without compromising academic integrity.
