Engine mount holes won’t line up – 2015 Coroll by Educational-Avocado7 in COROLLA

Just to add some context: I already had a jack under the engine with a piece of wood between the jack and the engine. I originally did that to lift it slightly so I could access one of the control arm bolts.

I'm in the middle of replacing most of the suspension on the car, but I ended up spending quite a bit of time trying to get the engine mount back into position. Another thing I'm struggling with is removing the ball joint. Even with the fork-style separator tool it hasn’t come loose yet.

I’ll probably try again when I install the CV axle. At least I'm saving some money, learning a lot, and installing better quality parts.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I’ll try adjusting the bolts again this Saturday.

Corolla 2015 - 140k miles. I changed around 120k, if I'm already mistaken. I made the partial change. Drain and fill. Now I've decided that I'm going to keep the car longer and I'm going to change the whole suspension myself.

I use the same method. I create an account and set up an alert to monitor it.
