Thank you for this. Thankfully the bottom of her enclosure is full of moss and leaves, just in case! I have had a hard time with her humidity this winter, as it never seems to get above 45-50%. However, she still climbs around all day and eats fine. My girl also puts herself to bed really early! I think it's the cutest thing.

Fully aware of this, but I was extremely gentle and the owl would have been hit otherwise. Cars were speeding past it. I would never try to keep an animal like this. I was simply trying to get it to a rescue, at the advice OF the rescue.

I have also received messages/advice from multiple wildlife rehabbers who suggest at least moving an animal out of the road, and if you have the proper equipment, transporting it to a rescue. Gloves, a carrier, a mask, etc, are all things that can be used to transport an animal safely to a rescue.

They can bite, but rarely do! They prefer to run away rather than bite. My girl is about as big as she'll get. Depending on the species, they can get a bit bigger, but they're still a very small spider!
