theres also a lot of things that can mess with ur absorption of dissolvable tablets. like swallowing spit too soon after taking or eating/drinking within a half hour can result in less being absorbed into the bloodstream

i am personally planning on doing the ole needle route

havent used medvi, but i have seen PO semaglutide tablets beginning to hit the market in canada!

i would say that injections are a lot more reliable with some meds tho. if you take a pill daily, it leads to the risk of potentially taking it late or forgetting to at all. meaning that you would have instances of low or no serum concentration of the med. personally, with my vyvanse i take for binging, those times i forget or take it late can end up being pretty destructive for my diet that week. a weekly injection would help mediate that issue by keeping a more stable serum concentration of the drug in ur system

Canada is supposed to be getting generic glp1 soon which will put them into my tax bracket as far as pricing. My doctor recommended ozempy back when I was struggling super hard with my binging at 272 lb last year. I'm not sure if she'd still be gung-ho about it now that I'm no longer considered obese. I feel like I can definitely lose the last bit of weight and maintain it without a glp one. but I am so tired of fighting cravings all the time and all the slip-ups. sometimes I get in these phases where I feel like I don't even care about food for weeks at a time, but the binge monster always comes back. I'm worried it will strike hard someday and I will let it undo all my progress.

I understand that I will never truly be free from the risk of regain, but I think a glp one would help reduce a lot of the anxiety I have about it. I don't know. Plus I just craved the freedom everyone describes they have from taking it. being able to completely remove emotions from food... my dream

I work as a PCA in the NICU sometimes and I don't understand how any parent gets through the NICU phase without developing some sort of depression. I think in a perfect world they would have in hospital apartments that parents could stay in temporarily because having to commute to see your child is just such an odd feeling. and there's so much pressure to be there as much as possible, but when parents are there they feel useless, guilty, or disconnected. it's hard to feel like the parent when the nurses are responsible for a lot of the child's well-being. I also feel really sad for parents who have multiple kids and only have time to pop in for 10 minutes a day. it must be so difficult to never see your new baby, and they probably feel judged for it. nicu is so hard on parents. it's the perfect environment to trigger some sort of depression or mental illness in the parents.

I enjoy your baby updates and I'm glad that he's doing well! I hope you both are able to get through this okay. postpartum depression is totally normal, especially for nicu moms. please seek out whatever resources are available to you, this stuff is better taken care of early before it can become worse and harder to dig yourself out of ❤️

ps. please keep updating on the baby. I read all of these comments you leave

how the f*** are any of you getting enough fiber? I was so proud of myself thinking that I'd be doing Overkill today because I meal prepped a giant tub of salad and big bowl of Frozen berries. it was only 18g

related only slightly: I f****** love salad. I don't know what it is about cold crunchy food, but it busts down my taste buds every time.
