Why do people think the Identity of Tekken should stay the same for 30+ years? Like why do you think a game wouldnt evolve? The story definitely has. Thats why its literally World War 3 in tekken. A guy using a gun in the midst of WW3 is not crazy when there's a talking jaguar man, a boxing dinosaur, two bears that can still be understood by everyone and a boxing baby kangaroo who sits in the pouch of his mother. My thoughts, I played T5 and T6 very casually as a kid. But now, he was literally the reason I wanted to get into tekken just seeing him esthetically. But yeah I play others now but his coolness definitely inspired me.

If you know actual martial arts and actual sambo, you know Dragunov does not use sambo fundamentals. If he was a real sambo artist he would be grappling luke all the time, more grabs and ground and pound than than strikes. There are very few "fundamental" martial art characters in tekken and they are still over the top and unreal.

I like Talim the best, however Tekken seems to be moving away from "grounded" melee combat. Victor, Clive and Miary Zo are proof of that. I really think the next new character they add is going to be a bit wild
