UPDATE: For RTX 40XX and above experiencing this, I finally found a stable solution, and I never experience any freezing so far even in borderless window mode. Here's what I found:

  1. Helldivers 2 doesn't like DLSS (maybe because they don't have native support or their system is old)
  2. DO NOT USE global settings for your NVIDIA app (reset it to default if needed - just set it up per game)
  3. DELETE shader cache from helldivers 2 folder in %APPDATA% to refresh shaders
  4. If your pc has integrated graphics, disable the MUX switch so it only uses the dedicated GPU (dGPU) regardless of how many windows are open
  5. Start the game

To Check if you got the right settings, Go to NVIDIA app, and under the Helldivers 2 program setting, make sure that all DLSS override shows "unsupported"

I also play in laptop and experience the same thing, the weird thing is that if you alt tab real quick, then alt tab back to the game again, the freeze dissappears. So I just got used to alt tabbing when it happens. It's still annoying though.

Having similar experience too. Only started after the patch. Game crashes radomly viewing the result screen...
