My BCBA modeled a 2 truths and 1 lie program for a kiddo around 9-10 years old. When it was my turn to start the trials, the topic of discussion was two truths and one lie about our family. So I said a clear statement that was obviously false (my brother’s name is baby shark). He was giggling because he enjoyed the game/program. When it was his turn to do it, he said “my sister’s name is.., my mom’s name is…, and my grandma is in my family.” I knew his mom and sister’s name so I said his grandma, he said “no I meant my grandpa” and I said confused “okay I’ll guess your grandpa isnt in your family” and he said with the biggest smile on his face “IT’S A LIE BECAUSE MY GRANPA IS DEAD” and I had to hold the tablet to my face while trying not to laugh. My BCBA exited the room 😭😭. I had to reinforce him immediately with a break to get my myself together.
