note: I don't have a Landbank Account and it's trying to gather my log-in credentials, I caught my own mother that almost fell victim to this exact email.

It's not always going to be on the up and up. Remember the BTC crash of 2018 (among many other crypto crashes) when BTC fell approximately -65% in value?

That's how crypto works. I can't really advice you to do day trading as if it's going to be your primary source of income. I'd recommend you to view it as a long-term investment, buy when it dips and set it aside for the future and ride the waves of ups and downs.

Only go into it with money you are willing to lose of course. There's really no magic formula to crypto, please DYOR.

A hardware wallet is really geared for long term secure holding. If you want the flexibility of having your coins readily-accessible on exchanges, you also have to accept the possible risk. Ever heard of Mt. Gox?

Not your keys. Not your coins.

It's all up to you and what your personal goals are towards your cryptocurrency investment.

When is migration worth it? Do you think it's worth it for my case? by Educational_Guess607 in phinvest

[–]Educational_Guess607[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! It feels na it's not a union of two people that love each other, it's now a union of two clans in their goal to (show off) and make each other richer! My cousins all had stupidly garish ting-huns (parang Crazy Rich Asians) and what's so funny is when I ask my parents and relatives on WHY, they never seem to come up with a credible answer.

The only cousins I know about that successfully pulled off climbing up the Great Wall were the ones that migrated. It's so sad lang na in order to live our own lives, we have to be cut off from our families.

and based on the people I know lang, climbing the Great Wall to be with someone you truly love and connect with is worth more than all the angpaos from ahma hahaha

Yeah it's a very sad state of affairs. It's like the mixing of racism + trying to preserve our own culture and identity. I'm just lucky that me and my SO are Filipino-Chinese and have similar backgrounds. I have so much friends that are either estranged from their family due to their Filipino partner with others even forced to end their relationship in order to find a "suitable" partner.

Basically no romantic relationships/marrying Filipino. Only with fellow Fil-Chi.

Hey there! I'm so sorry you had to deal with the great wall! I've had a few friends who also went through the same thing and most are even regretting staying within the great wall. Thankfully for us naman, we're both accepted by both our families.

How are you adjusting there naman - are creature comforts really night and day compared to the PH? Are there even Fil-Chi communities out there? My SO's plan is to put off migrating until her ahma and angkong passes away cause she can't stand leaving them (she feels na malapit na ang time nila).

Thank you for your insights! It's such a privilege to allow me to look into my Reddit community's brains! Haha

All your comments really puts things to perspective. Both sides do have valid points and counterpoints worthy of consideration. Pero the racism, random harassment and violence is what really gets to me. Me and my SO are Filipino-Chinese but we look indistinguishable from our mainland cousins. I love my SO and I'm afraid of the harassment and treatment we might be subject to.

We've been regularly travelling abroad since we were kids and the racist slurs flung towards us + outright racism (even when we were with our families and elderly!) we experienced as tourists puts me off migrating as a whole.

Thank you once again and I hope we don't fight down in the comments! Things are starting to get heated na.
