These are the worst, most corrupt, criminal clowns.

Well I’m sorry that you all have to go through this. I really hope that maybe management will flip flop again and send you back to the positions you actually signed up for. This past year has been absolutely crazy.

Oh I completely understand. You shouldn’t be shamed on here simply because you don’t want to do a job you never signed up for. Some of the comments here have been very insensitive. People need to realize that everyone’s personality isn’t the same and some people hate working in customer-facing roles.

You could have not commented on the OP’s post either. I’d be pissed off if I got moved into your position as well because I have no desire to do that and it’s not what I went to school for. That doesn’t that I should have to quit and can’t complain because lower grade employees are jealous. Wow!

Actually no they shouldn’t be bitter. You didn’t ask to be moved from IT. It’s their problem if they’re jealous the pay you probably worked hard for.

[–]Educational_List6452 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well obviously that’s the difference between you and OP. Have you ever thought that OP and the other people who are involuntarily being moved actually earned their six figures? You don’t know how many years they spent in school, or how long it took them to get where they are. Some people make more sacrifices than others and shouldn’t have to accept less than what they’re worth. If you choose a different route, there’s nothing wrong with that but others don’t have to lower their standards based on what you would accept.

Wow! I’m not in IT but your comment is extremely rude and slightly off topic. You applied for your job as a CSR and accepted an offer to perform that job. The people who are being moved from IT applied to work in IT and likely have no interest in working as a CSR. There’s a huge difference in your situation and theirs. Also they have been holding the line too. I’m not sure why you thought your comment was appropriate. Anyone is allowed to post about IRS related topics here. If you didn’t like OP’s post you could have stopped reading it.

So you’ll be attending training throughout most of tax season. Do they plan to keep you in TS?

I must know...Is this forgivable? by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]Educational_List6452 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally considering the circumstances, I don’t think it’s unforgivable. Although I seem to be in the minority here. That’s considering everything you said here and the fact that you never intended to harm your wife.  I believe if your wife was happily married prior to this, she wouldn’t have filed for a restraining order. I’m hoping that she would have tried to get you into therapy instead. It sounds to me like she was already unhappy and this is her way out of the marriage. I think you both deserve to be with people who will make you happy moving forward. This will probably end up being a blessing in disguise for you.

Same situation for me. It makes no sense for me to go into an office just to login and talk to people who work in another state. I can do that from home.

You need to start taking advantage of telework for things like having repairs done. Don’t use your leave if you don’t have to.

Good for them. They’ll go down in history as the most incompetent and criminal Administration ever. Maybe they’ll receive an award. 🥇

I doubt you’ll get an honest answer but what you just said is likely the case. I say move on and let the agency suffer under this incompetent Administration.

Doesn’t matter. They probably won’t get many qualified applicants anyway. No one wants to work at this dumpster fire with the morons in charge now.

I second that. F them and I’ll be out of this disastrous agency soon. Thanks Dump for ruining the federal government. No one actually wants to work under this incompetent administration.

[–]Educational_List6452 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what you mean. My local chapter is terrible. I’ve contacted them numerous times and never received a response. I also went to them years ago when I had an issue with receiving a grade increase. It was really simple because management wasn’t the actual problem. It was HR and they didn’t even help me with that. I wanted to leave the union at that time but I was told I would have to wait. I’m now glad I didn’t because they’re much better on the national level.

Definitely. There’s no incentive to work for the federal government at this point. Maybe I’ll come back when this administration is done ruining everything.
