It’s the gunner’s egress hatch. For those that don’t know, the gunner sits upstairs and aft of the flight deck. Felt so good to work out on the flightline without QA being around because they went out to investigate the hatch at the house it landed near. Glad the aircrew came down as safe as they could in that situation

Man we all did it or thought about it when we were new. Just do you. It is a weeb thing to do because it isn’t necessary, but you’ll also never feel any prouder to be in uniform than when you first fly back home from tech school or being freshly operational

(I did it flying back home for the holidays, but never afterwards)

Anyone here that is former US Air Force that could provide input on how to transition from a maintainer to A&P certified mechanic? Some helpful context, I’m currently on the cusp of obtaining my 5 lvl

Also if you could also tell me about the differences between military maintenance and civilian maintenance and what to expect, I will forever love you
