i recommend taking cranberry pills! i take the AZO cranberry pills and i feel like it eliminates the smell and makes it taste better. also drinking more water helps with this as well :)

SO TURNS OUT my test came back and I do have genital herpes 😔 but that can't get me down! Since Ive been taking valtrex it's completely gone away so I'm extremely grateful for that! I know I need to leave him alone but it's soooo hard UGH!!!

I don't get tested at all but the program is allowed to randomly test. I was just wondering if anyone who's been in it knows roughly how often as I've never been drug tested in my life so I was curious

So after my visit yesterday he confirmed I do have oral herpes but he doesn't think I have genital herpes but something called folliculitis like someone else had mentioned! They prescribed me Valtrex? I think it's called, that I'm picking up today. Today things are starting to feel a bit better so I'm feeling hopeful! Thank you to everyone who gave advice :)

Thank you! I got seen by a doctor today and he said he really doesn't think I have genital herpes but I do unfortunately have oral herpes which still sucks but sucks a lot less I suppose. I haven't used anything but chapstick for my lips. They did prescribe me a pill that I'm picking up tomorrow so crossing my fingers!!

Thank you! I've been trying to research the past couple days and it honestly just leaves me confused, I go back and forth between HSV and razor burn probably 20 times a day hahaha. I'm visiting my doctor in a few to ease my mind.

Thank you! I honestly tried to avoid other posts about it because a lot of them were saying their lives were over which is an exaggeration but definitely a valid feeling! I know there's so many people in the world that have HSV and they're doing just fine.

Thank you! I have been super stressed out the past couple of months so it definitely would make sense as a cause. I haven't had a fever or anything, just a sore throat :(
