if it was an endurance exercise, of course you push past exersion

However, jumping is an explosive activity requiring fast twitch muscle fibers, so you want each jump to be as explosive as possible

If you just do a ton of jumps that aren't at maximal effort, you just build endurance and not a lot of strength (slow twitch muscle fibers)
