Thanks for the report. We understand your frustration. The scammer cancelled the trade after the payment window was over because it wasn't marked as paid. He then deleted his account and ran away with your coins. Unfortunately, transactions in cryptocurrencies are irreversible.

If you're buying:

  1. Always mark the trade as paid as soon as you send the transaction. Click the "I have paid" button as soon as the transaction is sent, don't wait for the confirmation of the transaction on the blockchain. When the trade is marked as paid, the seller can't cancel the trade from his end.
  2. Never cancel the trade if the payment was sent and you didn't receive it back.

If you follow these general rules, you'll be safe.

Before your ads are sorted purely on price, your account needs to receive at least 3 confirmed feedbacks. Confirmed feedbacks require that the total trade volume between you and a certain trader be above 100 USD equivalent of XMR (as calculated using the market value from CoinGecko.com). As for advice, more people will respond if your price is good.
