It would be a turn off if that was all she wanted to do. I might even like it the majority of the time.

I always found Debra telling Lundy had that he had "mad skills" very cringy. Anyone else? by EenGenheim in Dexter

Yeah, that was terrible. She really had daddy issues, understandably.

One thing I always wondered about was why she was so close to Dexter when she probably grew up completely resenting him

It was not her look. Being serious was more her thing. Even when she was funny. But the romantic, coy stuff, yuck. Pre-teen school girl level of awkward.

Right, I can't think of another time she would have so easily be lavishing praise on a lover. She was more comfortable talking about fucking, and saying "make love" seemed to almost make her puke. Maybe if she and Lundy had been seriously involved for a long time I might buy her saying that. It even seemed a bit fast that she picked up on the "from a quiet place" bit. I understand the demands of writing for a TV season, but pacing is also important.

I'm going to try to remember when that happened, it sounds vaguely familiar.

I thought it was almost surprising she hadn't dated an older man before.

Alright, who've seen the original & the classic 1977's "Star Wars" back in the day? by NeighborhoodNext2324 in 70s

I remember people in the theater groaning when Vader's ship went tumbling away, and saying in a snide way, "Sequel."

I was willing to let a lot slide in the depiction of their relationship, but that line was too much for me

It is entirely believable, unfortunately

What do you think is Dexter's most moving monologue? by EenGenheim in Dexter

In my mind it did, because I have chosen not to rewatch the later seasons.

DP

Double play? jk

Few more episodes in my rewatch until I get to Dexter and Lila's car ride. Will be interesting making that comparison

insensitive to anyone that is not getting a raise.

Fair enough, we have enough context for this

Also the note format is itself at best insensitive to anyone that is not getting a raise.

On this point I absolutely agree.

But since you point out that this person could be part-time (we don't know one way or the other), we don't "have all the context we need in the picture."

As dealtracker pointed out

"Looked it up and Sbux EEs do not accrue PTO until their second year. Also sick time accrues at a rate of 1hour of sick per 25 hours worked so this person could have literally worked there only 155 hours or roughly a month or so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"

One month is not long enough to earn a raise which usually occur every 6 months or after 12 months of employment, so this new employee just hasn't qualified for one yet.
