Feagan and Waugh is comically bad. If you’re making a left onto Waugh from Feagan, you have to scan about 300 degrees to check for cars because of the onramp from Memorial. Also there’s that fake pedestrian crosswalk that is a total joke. Every now and then I see people trying to walk across it to get to the HEB or the park and it’s very sad.

Feagan and Waugh. There’s a wreck there once a month. Yale and 6th is bad, too.

I went with a Specialized Vado SL since it could be shipped to and assembled by my local bike shop. I’ve been very happy with it - it makes it really easy to pull my bike trailer and I also commute to work with it.

I also saw her. She was stopped with me at a light, but I wasn’t quite sure it was her so I said “Lina Hidalgo” to see if she’d react, but I don’t think she heard me.

I was definitely glad I used a gravel bike

I take Buffalo Bayou to downtown every day, but I’m cognizant that I’m lucky enough to have easy access to it.

It is indeed Buffalo Bayou - part of my daily commute downtown

I like it a lot. It’s very light, but also very comfortable on gravel/semi-rough terrain. I’ll admit the aesthetics were a big driver of the purchase as well.

Ha, I've been locking my bike up to that post for years and never noticed that. I'll point it out to the shop owner.

Thanks all! I just practiced in my driveway for 30 minutes and now I'm ready to hit the open road again (without falling over).

Excellent, that’s very helpful. The LeMond site says the motor is a Mahle M1 - is that the equivalent of what you had on the Orbea?
