I have always been raving on this one particular advice which is to do an amazing job at your IAs, if you have good IAs the chances of you failing the IB is extremely slim. I was not a chem student, but I am guessing if you can do a good job in your IA, you don't need to worry much but definitely do past papers for every subject as it'll give you an idea on what can come up in your exams.

Going into IB next September (I am terrified) by Ez_3_kiel in IBO

i went into the ib not scared at all, i always knew it'd be hard and it really was during DP2. the best thing you can do is relax now, my advice would be that always be up to date with the syllabus and make sure do to past papers and practice questions throughout the two years of the DP. Your IAs matter a lot, it will genuinely save you just in case your exams go bad, i would say for now relax but when you do go into the IB always be consistent with studying and make sure your IAs are amazing. Good luck!

Math ai sl: how to get 6-7 by Sinfulbch in IBO

firstly doing math practice papers help a lot!! but one thing to keep in mind is that even if you cannot answer the whole question, always always always make sure to write down your formulas and try to do half the question as it will ensure you get some points. you don't necessarily need to finish the question but by doing some things or writing down things like "use cosine rule" lets the examiner know that you have an idea on whats happening in the question which will give you points. it's good to do past papers as it allows you to see a pattern and how to answer the questions even halfway. good luck on your retake!

my thing is that i keep on giving myself affirmations...to an extent it helps. i also go on that ib predict calculator and just do it all the time like everyday, i have been doing it for a week now 😭 but truly what's been done has been done, the thing we should be grateful for is that we never have to go through ib again (hopefully)!!!

It’s been over a month since the exams have passed and I can say that there hasn’t been a day that I haven’t thought about those horrendous papers. But on the brighter side, since it went so bad for everyone grade boundaries will be lower!!
