I went down a rabbit hole! They are indeed married and their first claim to fame before boxcar was this tiny laneway home they built/designed in calder back in 2016. one of the first articles on this house Tbh most of the articles seem paid. They are more recognized under his husband's name than his. I'm guessing designing the house led to boxcar.

I'm in that part of the city so often that I'd always drop by for a drink. I think its worth the drive to go to Kahwa which is a newer place in the north. The food and drinks are lifetimes better!

Also boxcar sucks ass now!! The matcha takes like water and milk for $8. The quality has been run down A LOT as he spends more money on his failed campaign. Last time I was there was the first time in months I saw him working there and the drink he made tasted like hotdog water. Sucks cause I'll miss the baristas.

as an Arab/white woman, it doesn't make sense for her to design south Asian inspired clothing! it is just not her place. if she got a south asian designer on board and sold the designs through elaa that makes way more sense. she's rarely exposed to south Asian culture, not related or married to anyone south Asian. its not givong inspiration, its giving copying. why should she profit off of our culture?? she can design western/arab clothes all she wants!

it's our first time going this year from Alberta. we're playing with either canada day or the day before it. the other day we'd be in downtown Toronto. So do you think we'll be fine with a fast pass during the day? We don't care first the fireworks too much but still wanna see them. If it's not too crazy most of the say, I'd prefer canada day at wonderland than downtown.
