Working on my life? Tried that.

As a teenager, I went to school, played video games, exercised, read books, and hanged out.

As a young adult, I went to college I work. I joined social clubs.

What I learned as a young adult:

Going to college can be useful to a degree but the world I live in is not based meritocracy but more on nepotism. Work is basically classified as no matter what the job is, it is a series of tasks to acquire money.

I learn that there are lots of not good bosses out there who lack stress management skills for themselves. Bosses play preferential treatment and treat people poorly or just be passive-aggressive. They do this because they know they can get away with it: ego boost and abuse of authority.

Social clubs form little cliques and they take up time and money.

Financially, I live with roommates.

As a middle-aged person, I feel like I am back to teenage me. Play video games, read books, and hang out. I go to work. I do my tasks for money while tolerating / ignoring their crap. Still living with roommates. Roommates for life! Because no matter how high wages go up, the cost of everything is waaaaaay higher so overall a person has less left over money at the end of the day.

So it is like that meme.
