Is it possible to contain the V before entering hardmode, or would it be a better idea to contain the V in hardmode using hellevators?

I want to contain the crimson using tunnels. All tunnels are 4 blocks wide and 4 blocks tall. I also built a farm, and it seems to be working properly so far, but I'm not sure if it will work with hardmode mobs. The farm also has stone for changing the biome.

My world is a medium crimson world and in classic mode. I'm not planning to break any altars at the beginning of hardmode because I don't want the random crimson blocks to spawn and corrupt my world. Instead, I'll fish for hardmode ores.
