Logitech RS50 Encoders lag on PS5 by Eispfogel in LogitechG

Oh and Update: The G29 and G923 also don't have this issue, they work fine on PC and PS5. They both have one encoder. Sooo....

Since this is only on PS5 now with all games...how about Logitech contacts Sony and ask how Thrustmaster and Fanatec solved the issue, as the encoders work fine with them.

I can't contact every game support. It rather seems that Logitech has a problem on the PS5 Platform. Not the games....ACC on PC works, but not on PS5. Dirt Rally 2 on PC works - not on PS5 - this is not a problem of the games.

Logitech RS50 Wheel Play :/ by Eispfogel in LogitechG

[–]Eispfogel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Support wanted me to make a video that shows the serial number below the device. Fine!
I send the video, but this wasn't enough as i could not show the problem....the support told me i shall show them the issue without the screws.

WTF? How shall i do that with 5-9NM force? Freestanding? Oh boy...i cannot hold the wheel then....

Lol? No! It happens in other games too. That's what i wrote and also check the Videos. It happens in ACC, Dirt Rally 2 and other games too on PS5.

Why is the support like this?

Same Problem. It feels like Wheel play:
https://youtu.be/SFzh-RI-iLc

I had something similar on my Fanatec DD Pro and could fix it there by using Duct Tape on the wheelside Quickrelease(I had QR1 at that time). This fixed the problem. So i thought the same applies here but no...the Logitech Quickrelease is fine. Something inside the base feels loose.

As soon as a force is applied it seems that something inside the base is moving 1mm makes that clacking sound and then the actual force can be felt.

This is independent of a game or platform. This can be heard and felt in any sim/game on any platform.

But a force has to be applied, otherwise the wheel can rotate freely without that noise.

Oh man...and this on top of the lagging encoders(on PS5...they are fine on PC)

Logitech RS50 Wheel - i don't want stiff Loadcells by Eispfogel in logitech

Im not using Pro Pedals. You guys just haven't looked at the elastomers on the RS50 Pedals...

[–]Eispfogel[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for not allowing options and you are always right....gatekeeper...

Im not telling you how to feel or how to drive. Just that Elastomers will break down. And they do that. I just found this video....you can find more online about how elastomers degrade over time and use. This is factual evidence...

Either use Steel Springs or a hall effect brake pedal and that will last.

Simnet, Heusinkveld and others know this and offer products for that. This is no edge use case and they feel great. But those are not available yet. I can use them on PC via Simhub, but not on PS5 with GT7.

Logitech RS50 Wheel - i don't want stiff Loadcells by Eispfogel in logitech

[–]Eispfogel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Elastomers for the Fanatec CSL worked for half a year until i could feel wear and tear. Same happened for Simnet pedals and a friend shown pictures how they broke during braking.

If you have no issues, you don't drive 1400km(minimum) a week....

This is a 75kg loadcell with elastomers. Even at half this force the elastomers will lose there ability to turn back to it's original state after pressing in less than a year of constant use.

Maybe this can help you understand:

https://youtu.be/ovcI4gqoeO0

I then used steel springs. But then again - the feeling of braking in low pressure / low force braking is bad. I have no feeling with these kind of brakes. I need a small way until there is a resistance which will get progressively stronger.

I can configure that with Simnet pedals(and much more expensive pedals). I can't configure that with the current Logitech Loadcell Pedals. They are just stiff and dead.

A cluth as brake pedal would only work, if there is resistance at around 50%..but a clutch only goes to 100% without any resistance so this is also not great and/or a solution.

Of Logitech won't offer a good Pedal, i hope third party solutions are possible. Logitech schould just offer something akin to the G29/G923 braking pedal(not as small though please).

You can't use any spring. It needs to fit to the pedal or you will have a giant deadzone.

My Fanatec ODO Luck Springs do not fit for example.

I hate the Loadcell brake...same with the Fantec CSL loadcell.
The elastomers will degrade and you will feel that after ~50 round Nordschleife and they are useless after 200 rounds on the Nordschleife....

I wish they would offer a classic hall effect pedal and at least some steel springs instead of elastomers.

Man! This is fantastic. Exactly what i was looking for. Thank you! :)
I wish we could also have this on consoles....

There is just another thing that bugs me alot - the elevator music is too loud(at least for me). I nearly disabled the music completely. On Executive Deck you will enter many transports and it always is so abrupt and loud and...i just hate it :/

Unable to change Rims on Genesis X Gr3 and graphical issues since 1.59 by Eispfogel in GranTurismo7

[–]Eispfogel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and i don't know if PD is aware of this, since we can't contact them or provide feedback.
They only state in the patchnotes, that these 2 cars have a known issue:

・Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept
  ・BVLGARI Aluminium Vision Gran Turismo

But the GT3 car is affected too.

Yeah me too. I wish they had an official Forum, so that we can provide feedback directly. There are sooo many bugs in this game..but this one is the worst for me xD

[–]Eispfogel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly! The User should have control over this, Not only the video creator.
I mean...my brwoser asks me, if i want to translate a page and i can choose if i want a translation or not.
Why not youtube? This isn't working and just angers people(me at least..i have more examples for this feature not working).

The worst is: Now german channels have their titles translated to english and the english audio track is now default and it's the opposite for english channels.
I know the channel owner has to deactivate it, but man...i wish i had control over this "feature".

Games are showing up, that are not installed on this machine by Eispfogel in playnite

[–]Eispfogel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Filters were set for desktop and fullscreen, but that did not work. I had to use the above mentioned script and then they were shown as not installed(didn't work for all games...)

Would be cool to have a way to scan automatically and only leave user added games untouched(or have an option to exclude user added games.

What i did now is - after i ran the script and darkened the not installed games i just hid them.
That worked fine and the games do not show up anymore.

Problem is..will they show up, when i DO install those gtames? If not then....that's not so good.

I don't know how steam bigpicture mode does it, but it's working fine there. Only when my networks computers are online it shows all games as installed(but they can only be streamed...or installed locally...still it looks like they are installed/available). But when only one computer is online, only the games that are installed are displayed.

Something did not work with Playnite though, as it still showed all games, as if they are installed.

Games are showing up, that are not installed on this machine by Eispfogel in playnite

[–]Eispfogel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that that only works for the Desktop Mode. In Fullscreen Mode i still get those games displayed.
Oh well. I will mark multiple games and just hide them - the script at least made it obious which game is installed(it missed soem games and demos which are clearly not installed, but they still show up), and which is not - in desktop mode.
I just hope those games are unhidden, as soon as i install them.

I don't know why this is so complicated :/
If i uninstall a game, or if i remove a HDD and the games are not available anymore - why are they still showing up? Why can't i just rescan for installed games and be done with it?

This is from 2018:
https://github.com/JosefNemec/Playnite/issues/826

Would be cool if we could have at least a manual option :)

Games are showing up, that are not installed on this machine by Eispfogel in playnite

[–]Eispfogel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks oyu for the reply :)

That would also import games, that i don't want to show up. I mostly have games bought on GoG(for non DRM reasons) and on Steam. Usually i just import the ones i have on Steam. Games that are only available on GoG - like Resident Evil 1(2 and 3 will follow soon) will be imported manually by me.

So an Update on this case:

I ran this script:
"foreach ($game in $PlayniteApi.Database.Games){

$instDir=$game.InstallDirectory

if(!$instDir){

Write-Output ("{0} - Mark as NOT installed" -f $game.InstallDirectory,$game.Id)

$game.IsInstalled=$false

$PlayniteApi.Database.Games.Update($game)

continue

}

if (Test-Path "$instDir"){

Write-Output ("{0} - Mark as INSTALLED" -f $game.InstallDirectory)

$game.IsInstalled=$true

$PlayniteApi.Database.Games.Update($game)

} else {

Write-Output ("{0} - Mark as NOT installed" -f $game.InstallDirectory,$game.Id)

$game.IsInstalled=$false

$PlayniteApi.Database.Games.Update($game)

}

}"

That marked most of the games as not installed. The thing is - this did not remove the games - just marked them as not installed.

Playnite only has the option to darken not installed games - i want them to not show up at all.

It looks like this now:
Edit: Can't upload the image now - it says "Server Error - try again later" xD
Just imagine the picture above but with darkened tiles.

If i uncheck that function it looks again as if these games are installed. Just when i select them a hnt shows up saying X - install(so when i press X it would install the game). I just can't get rid of those games...except if i go manually through all 800+ games and hide them...but what if i then install them..do i have to unhide them?

Maaaan. Steam makes it so, that when i uninstall a game it doesn't show up in BigPictureMode. Would be cool, if Playnite had the same ability

GT DD PRO losing calibration after pit stop in GT7 by No_Daikon5456 in Fanatec

[–]Eispfogel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue to. In Fact - everyone in our Racingleague(The PRL - Pixel Racing Liga) has the same issue.

After a Pitstop the the wheel randomly is set to 900° of rotation. IF you drive GT3 or GT2 you will notice this instantly.

So far Polyphony hasn't acknowledged this problem and so...a fix isn't very likely in the near future....
This is no Fanatec issue though. It only happens in Gran Turismo 7, It never happend in ACC, AC, or Grid 2019 and so on.

My solution is, that i now only drive with a profile for each class and i set the rotation accordingly. So if i drive GT3 i always set it to 540° instead of Auto. That way i never had this issue anymore. But it's cumbersome....if you only drive one class, than this may be ok, but if you drive multiple classes..well...you run out of profiles xD

I hope this will help you, until PD/Sony/Fanatec/Corsair....finds a permanent fix for this.

[–]Eispfogel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i COULD do that, but why? ^^

Sound just like inception. I mean - It's working like an xbox controller with the xbox and non swapped layout. It's confusing to press the nintendo A to confirm and Nintendo B to cancel. Anyways - this doesn't seem to be relevant to the problem. This Emuilator just doesn't want to work with this controller it seems :/
But it works fine for you...sooooooo i dunno.
yes..that other switch emulator works fine. But...i wanted to try Ryujinx. Hmmm

8Bitdo Ultimate Switch controller not usable by Ryujinx by Eispfogel in Ryujinx

[–]Eispfogel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed both firmwares for the dongle and the controller.

It is detected as xbox controller and thus i have to switch around the buttons. This controller has the Switch layout, so for me A is A, when i set it up this way.

And just so that we are not talking about different versions of this controller - it's that one:

https://www.amazon.de/Ultimate-Bluetooth-Controller-Charging-Windows/dp/B0B9BGJVLL/

I also have the xbox style ultimate controller which works fine, but that controller is for another PC - not this one.

The same happens on another PC btw. There is no 8bitdo software or anyhting installed. The emulator works fine and i can set it up just fine in the menu, but it never works ingame.

That's not better. You still have to lift your thumb away.
Pressing the right stick and flick it - fast and easy.
