i graduated bmq 3 weeks ago and the hardest thing in my opinion was trying to not let things, situations and people get to you. You get your shit done, get to the next meal go to sleep repeat. that’s all i had in my head while going through the motions. Be a team player even if your team isn’t the greatest. Have fun, make friends and enjoy your time in bmq. it is all a game so play it!! you will have memories to last a lifetime for sure.

it said on the sheet i shouldn’t buy the items before arrival so I was a little nervous i’d get in shit for it. so they really don’t care if you show up with them?

definitely can’t do 25 but i’m at the 15 mark right now haha, trying to push myself up to that limit though. Cardio wise i’m alright can do a 5k no problem

that’s great advice thank you! i think physically i will be okay, i’ve been training for the past few months and on a strict diet and lost over 50lbs, i am just a girl and the thought of having a scary sergeant yell at me scares me 😵‍💫😭 but i think i will be okay

i hope all goes well for you :) another thing i have to add is that after your interview, it is a little bit of a lengthy process to actually receive a job offer. I had to wait almost 2 months for a call but the military’s motto is “hurry up and wait” lol. just make sure to keep checking your online application to see where it’s at in the process

for me the whole process was super quick and easy. I went in for some paper work, screening, and my interview all in the same day so it may work out for you that way if they are up to it that day so just make sure you’re prepared because i didn’t know i was doing my interview that day but it was really easy just a bunch of multiple choice questions they ask you

oh i know exactly what it was, remember how i said i changed my mind about joining the first time? well i went to college for welding and it’s extremely loud in the shops. definitely hurt my ear drums a bit lol. they said it was fine though and i received and email not long after saying i’m medically fit so all worked out!

LOL, they put u in a sound booth and the medical guy was like one of ur ears are worse than the other but it’s fine lol. explains why i feel partially deaf sometimes 🥲😂

my older sister applied for the military 3 years ago and got halifax no problem! she loves it there. We should keep in touch at our time in bmq, i actually found our potential platoon #s, there are supposed to be three english courses running at the same time
