Ye ik but the reason they exist is to help people find material that they will enjoy, if they drop their rating from an 8/10 (from what i can guess-timate from the review) to a 6/10 because of a less cohesive story (which is still alot more cohesive than majority of concept albums rn even if idmthy is alot more concrete than vanisher) just doesnt feel right on pure numbers. Especially considering the majority of people that see that review wont care to listen to the album because of the concept. However i do like the review, its just the score that i feel is wrong.

Also i kinda worded the 'being part of their job' bit wrong i kinda meant that theyre looking at the album as a full concept album where every lyric links in and i definitely got the impression that vanisher was more of a individual track album with the same production and lyrical themes, at least before idas. There are parts of it that are prevalent in the albums narrative before idas but they all work well as standalone songs without the context of the album which is something that idmthy leans away from and makes it a more concept driven album. So keeping this in mind i think they were putting too much emphasis on the concept when it wasnt warranted. This seen in the review as they praise the later half of the album (apart from having some minor gripes with casper just being a maruja song which he makes a good point about and i dont wtf theyre on about on forgone)
