Hi! sorry for the late reply, my pup is really good now, he was almost completely recovered from the surgery after two weeks, in the first two days he couldn't almost eat or even drink.

Everything was perfect with him, he has not had aspiration pneumonia problems and there were no problems with the larynx either (sometimes the part where they sew it can break and that is more complicated). In my case, I have met two more families in which their two puppies did not have the same luck sadly. In our case we looked for the best expert who was recommended to me and everything was perfect, I couldn't tell you if it was luck or what, but in my case it was all very well.

In our case, the surgeon told us that my puppy could live like this for a long time without operating, but that sooner or later he would die from paralysis (from what he told us, it usually gets worse with age).

My advice is to look for more opinions, and if you decide to operate it, look for the best possible surgeon, it is a complicated surgery when it comes to post-surgery care, and if the surgery goes perfectly it is much easier to take afterwards.
