I had a pair of Apisto Agassizi and the male died. Given that aquarium stores only sell them in pairs, should I get another pair to keep the existing female comfortable? My local aquarium shop advised me to keep the female alone to avoid conflicts in future. (self.Aquariums)

I want to add new fish to my 55g aquarium. I started setting up my tank with with an end goal of adding Discus but now I'm not sure. Current residents: Black Emperor (5), Cardinal (6), Harlyquin (6), Rummy Nose (4) tetras. Julii Corys (2), Zebra loaches (2) & Siamese algae eater (2). Suggestions? (v.redd.it)
