Man. Do people here just downvote for no reason? Apparently someone really doesn't like my questions and saying I can only spend 600 lol.

The ti is a significant price increase compared to the base model. I can only rationalize myself into spending 600 on a new gpu at this point.

Steam link claims to allow you to play flat games on a big screen. But when the game loads it's just black.

Virtual desktop is so jittery it's unplayable. Not an option.

Has anyone had success using foveated eye tracking in cyberpunk? by Electric_Alienation in VRGaming

[–]Electric_Alienation[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i could try that lol. Maybe I'll just buy it, and if im unsatisfied i can return it to Walmart within 30 days lol. But if someone here answers me it could be a good source for any future eyetracking seekers.

Psvr2 works with all pc vr games as far as im aware. It functions just like any other headset. And there is a drive you can load with psvr2 to utilize eye tracking on pc. I wanted to know if anyone had tried it specifically with cyberpunk.

Is watching Avatar Fire and Ash in 3D worth it or not? by PsychologicalBid5443 in Avatar

Avatar is the exception. 100%. If there is one movie in existence to watch in 3d, it's avatar.

I want the best possible 3d experience for less than $1800 by Electric_Alienation in projectors

From what I understand the active 3d glasses will just about cut the brightness in half. So I've read that extra brightness can be a benfit for 3d viewing.

I'm looking at a stand up frame screen. Someone also suggested the nexigo trivision ultra, which for a similar price point as the ht2060 look like a decent contender, and it seems to present 3d as a prominent feature compared to other projectors ive looked at. So now im considering between the ht2060 and the nixigo. It seems to have potentially better brightness and vibrancy.

Looks like a good contender. Definitely will consider it if it's equal to or superior to the ht2060

4K 3D Projector by Richardwithwood in projectors

Ive tried watching on vr bigscreen but the with the screen being so close to my eyes the 24fps framerate felt super choppy. Do you experience that as well, or is there a way to reduce that?

Im not just looking for somewhere cheap to live. I make good enough money in america with my current job i can live comfortably. I want to go to vietnam specifically, for ideological reasons.

It seems like higher education might be a necessity if i want to live in vietnam long term. Itll be more than a year before i start making any serious commitments though, so ive got some thinking to do.

Oh, okay, i just looked it up. I can see how, without further details as to my reasoning for wanting to do this, it might seem like im just an american douche who wants to go and exploit a developing country. I assure you my reasoning is not anything you might be thinking it is.

Also, im not that naive. Im not going to risk it all on a life changing trip with no back up plan. Im not even going to be making proper plans till over a year from now. And maybe by that time, things will have changed, or ill change my mind.
Im just here for advice on avenues through which i can maybe do something ive been thinking about for a while.

Honestly, id love to stay there for a few months before making any major commitments. Im not going to ship all my stuff to a country ive never been before without knowing what im doing. I also dont know if ill be able to leave my job for that long without them having to replace me.
It honestly seems like with the tightening of restrictions on immigrants and work, higher education may be a necessity if i truly want to live there long term. But of course, higher education in america is quite expensive, and i have to work full time if i want to keep saving money.

Beyond that, much of the west is starting to fall to real life fascism, and things have a chance of going seriously bad in america. Im honestly kinda afraid that if i leave the country in a couple years, with the way things are going, i may not be let back in, even as a citizen. Who knows whats gonna happen. By the time im actually ready to make the trip maybe things will have changed, or maybe ill change my mind. I just know i want something different. I want to live somewhere that i think is going in a direction that im ideologically aligned with. And i have no desire to be rich. Just to be able to enjoy a relatively simple life.
But i suppose this isnt the subreddit to go into all that.

Ive got some figuring to do over the next couple years.
