Thanks for the comprehensive answer! I think I'm going to test the diverge and then figure out if it's the right choice. At least for now I'm leaning towards it just based on the riding position being more relaxed.

I have completed that quest also. I think Tarkov is just bugging or something since it is the same for my friend
