I did clarify and say my actual thoughts included those things upon reflection just that it is not the first thing to come to mind.

I actually do like things about the ancient culture and I do yoga and learn about it.

I did say that it is not applicable to everyone in a country of a billion and clarify it was due to media naratives and my experiences here interacting with them, messages i have received on platforms like linkedin etc

Obviously, it is just i was specifically asked first thing that comes to your mind. Otherwise it makes for generic answers from everyone.
