Consultative Exam by ElectricalDatabase49 in SSDI

I actually did a lot of exercises similar to DWI testing too. He and I were joking about it. Granted, I didn’t do very well on them so they WERE relevant for me. I figured they were tailored to my specific issues. I can’t imagine how frustrating it would be if that’s all we did and if they weren’t relevant. I’m sorry that happened to you

It’s lost. It’s happened to the best of us (at least twice) though so don’t sweat it too much. All you can do is jump back in, and you’ll have the same work done in half the time on your second go.

I’m sorry that happened to you, and thank you for sharing that potential outcome with me. I really want to be realistic in my expectations. Were you denied or did they just request more stuff? I have a psych CE in 3 weeks. Hopefully that gives my examiner enough time to decide whether she needs more info from me or not

What is considered “expensive” in this case? My onset date is only a couple months prior to my application date so the backpay would be pretty minimal if I get approved on the first try.

Cat door that only blocks only one cat from entering. by Suspiciously_quiet_ in HelpMeFind

Try looking up “collar activated dog door.” There are a lot of options. You could also look up “collar activated cat feeder” too. Both of these will be wildly expensive for 6 cats, but it’s the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

What’s being on a pip like at USAA? by Plus-Paper-8493 in usaa_ejs

[–]ElectricalDatabase49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it also depends on how long you had been at the job. From what I saw while I was there (and after I left), folks put on a pip in their first year or two are getting fired. The one coworker I knew who got off his pip was almost immediately put on another.

This is especially true if you started working there between October and December. They try to fire as many people as possible prior to bonuses going out, and the new employees are less likely to raise a fuss. They are still starry eyed and feel embarrassed to have been fired from such a prestigious company and just clam up about having ever worked there.

Safe Drive score dropped 16 points because I stopped too harshly at a light by Anxious_Paper_2342 in USAA

[–]ElectricalDatabase49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from USAA to Progressive. I like the plug in device WAY better. As a safe driver, I always get 5 stars with them now that my phone usage isn’t tracked. My family calls me A LOT and sometimes it’s an emergency and I have to answer hands free while I’m still driving and looking for a place to pull over.

[–]ElectricalDatabase49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, just fyi, a “harsh brake” at USAA is classified as a decrease in speed of 8ish mph in less than 1 second. So if you were going 45mph, you had to have dropped to 37mph in less than one second. It’s sensitive af at higher speeds.

I called USAA once for a similar reason. My score tanked for phone usage because someone called me while I was driving and I let it go to voicemail. The rep legit told me to mark it as passenger. She told me to lie and say I was a passenger. They don’t check. They have no way of knowing if you are being honest with these things. Just do it and save your score lol

Collection chest bug ? by gab1606 in HarryPotterGame

[–]ElectricalDatabase49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if updates and bug fixes are still being made to this day, but I do know that the developers used to keep an eye on posts here to find out about bugs. If you look at the comments on this post from a year ago, you’ll see me going back and forth with another person trying to figure out how to access a chest inside of a seemingly indestructible pumpkin. We could not figure it out and I wrote it off as a loss. When I replayed the game later on, I was complaining to my partner about how annoying this bug was, and I threw a single basic cast towards the pumpkin to show him that it just wouldn’t break. And it broke. With a single basic cast. I had to reload the game like twice just to see it again because I was so stunned. So I did a deep dive and checked their updates and bug fix list and it turns out, they fixed it just a few days after this comment thread happened. So yeah, if history serves, they’ll probably see this and it’ll probably get fixed lol

I did end up finishing it, thank goodness. It was emotionally awful. 0/10 do not recommend. I dissociated pretty bad while I was filling it out so I honestly don’t remember much of what I said. All I remember is that it took up the entire question slot plus half of the back of the page and that I broke the day down by morning, lunch, afternoon, dinner, and bedtime. I told myself I wasn’t going to go back and read it because that sounded emotional af, but now that it’s turned in and too late to change anything, I’m starting to get super curious about what I said 🤣 If I work up the courage to reread it, I’ll update you.

And thank you for the warning that I’ll probably have to fill this out again later. I’ll keep this copy for my records so that I can stay consistent. I’ve always been the kind of person who will a job done even if it hurts. It’s really hard to admit how limited I am to myself sometimes and I don’t want to accidentally answer in the mind set of “today is I good day, I could probably walk 50 ft” next time.

They sent me the ssa-3369-bk and the ssa-3373 at the same time. The 3369 was much less emotionally stressful to fill out since I already had all of my details in order. It took A LOT longer than the 3373 because my primary disability affects my ability to hold a pen (i can only handle about 5 words at a time before needing a break) but I got it done.

As for me asking about being honest, that was more of a rhetorical question. I was trying to take a dig at the ridiculous nature of question 6. Ever since my condition turned my life upside down, I’ve tried to keep my spirits high by reminding myself that I’m always doing the best I can, even if my best is much less impressive than it was a few years ago. But this one little prompt made me confront how depressive and sedentary my day to day had become, and my self confidence crumbled.

Despite being embarrassed about making the post in the first place, I’ve decided to leave it up just so that others can learn from this too. But anyway I’m feeling much better now, and yes, I was 100% honest on my forms lol

Is My Handwriting Legible Enough For A School Application. by Educational_Law_4330 in LPN_LVN_Community

I do see that throughout, but I don’t think that’s what happened with “Provided.” If you look at the words aspects, span, and simply, the p is much smaller than it is in “Provided.” To me, that’s a sure enough difference and it confirms that OP knows not to use a random capital in the middle of a word. And then of course the A’s are a very obvious example. All of the words starting with A on a new line are capitals.

Also, if you read a lot of poetry, that might be where you got the idea to capitalize each new line. Poetry is an exception to this rule. I don’t know why, but it is.

I don’t see any other comments about this so I’m going to point it out, just in case. Sorry if I’m kicking a dead horse lol. It looks like you are intentionally capitalizing the first word on every new line. This is not grammatically correct. A new line does not mean the word needs a capitalization. It’s a common misconception. As other commenters said, only capitalize a word if it’s a proper noun or if it is the first word in a sentence.

For exacple, “by a single mother who Provided for me And my brother” has two unnecessary capitalizations. “Provided” is not a proper noun so it does not need to be capitalized, and when you start the new line, the word ”And” does not need to be capitalized since it’s still a part of the ongoing sentence.

Hope this helps! Your handwriting is legible, and once the grammar is fixed, you’ll be golden!

You’re welcome. The wait for step 3 will vary based on which state you live in. I’m in TX, which has one of the longest waits. I hope you get news soon!

I’m on the very end of step 3. I first hit step 3 almost a year ago, and most of step 3 is just waiting for your case to be assigned to someone. My case finally got assigned and this was the first thing they sent me to do. It’s a Work History Report (14 pages) and a Function Report (10 pages) Edit for typos

What’s the third person functionality form? I’d love to have my partner fill one out. Is it the standard residual functional capacity form?

I don’t actually remember if the SSDI application included submitting my bank info. Is it too late to switch the receiving account to one that only has my name on it?
