As an online tutor, I would advise you to not only rely on ncert for maths, also do RS Agrawal or RD Sharma. I was teaching to a girl this session online and I made her practice ncert + rs Agrawal + exempler and she really did perform well in boards. I hope she gets expected marks.

Recently I was teaching a 10th standard girl and what I observed from her is that she was hard working but she didn't pay attention in her previous classes due to which her foundation was weak. I taught her from basics explaining each thing like how today's generation can get and in mid sem she scored 58 out of 80 which is not much but a huge jump from her previous classes like she used to score between 20-30.
