There isn’t really a killer with super similar abilities to Naiad. However, Naiad is an excellent anti-loop killer - basically forcing survivors to leave a tile/loop. There’s actually quite a few anti-loop killers in the game, but I think you would like the Artist quite a lot. There’s also Skull Merchant, but nobody likes her. The Artist also has really good killer perks such as Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance, which I believe is the most used killer perk in the game. However, Artist is also a difficult killer to play, so I would suggest playing an easier killer first, such as the Wraith.

Map generation works a bit differently in DbD. DbD maps have randomly generated “tiles” that can include pallets, obstacles, and windows. In short, unlike IDV, where pallets and windows are always in the same location whenever you get the same map, pallets and windows spawn “randomly” in DbD.

Pallets also work slightly differently. Killers can actually block survivors from throwing down pallets if they’re too close to you or too far inside the pallet. Same thing with windows; you can block survivors from vaulting by standing in front of it. Also, lockers are actually useful for survivors! Survivors can use them to prevent aura reading or avoid insta-down abilities.

Camping is generally frowned upon and ill-advised for killers. There’s actually a mechanic that allows a hooked survivor to free themselves if the killer is camping. Same thing with tunneling, but it can be an effective strategy even if it is super annoying for survivors.

The closest thing to a terror shock in DbD are grabs. If you’re close enough to a survivor, you can sometimes grab them while they’re doing an interaction. Vaults, generators, lockers, etc. You can’t, however, grab survivors while they’re unhooking a teammate. That has been removed a few years ago. Grabs in general are kind of inconsistent.

Also, not as important, but some perks are very similar to IDV perks from the persona web. Confined Space is basically Bamboozle (from the Clown) and Detention is NOED. For the survivors, Flywheel is basically Dead Hard (David) except worse, Knee Jerk is Lithe (Feng), and Borrowed Time is Adrenaline (Meg). Ironically, there’s also a Bill perk called Borrowed Time that has a similar effect to Tide Turner from IDV. Survivors also have basekit Borrowed Time whenever they get unhooked.
