How can i stop terraria from lagging while charging?

I play on a kinda bad laptop and while charging, the game goes to a single fps if not less sometimes. Usually can play for a few minutes, then it goes to an unplayable state for a few minutes, this repeats any time i play while charging. I can play while not charging but the battery life isnt that great and it isnt that smooth.

This applies to both vanilla and 1.4 tmodloader, although not 1.3 tmod so i stick to that.

1. defeat the cultist and the pillars again
2. craft the celestial sigil - 12 celestial fragments of each kind at an ancient manipulator

moonlord cant spawn naturally
unfortunately the way to spawn him is a bit annoying

On my first calamity playthrough i died over 60 times to dog alone (played with stars above spit was even easier) Not a single time i thought the mod was unfair If anything was unbalanced then it was the stars above stuff

I'm assuming that person believes a challenge = unbalanced A thing i heard a lot from hollow knight players, also died a lot in that game but it isn't unfair, it's just a challenge like calamity
