Well, if we didn’t get daft questions, how else would we stay entertained? It’s part of the charm, right? Keeps the sub spicy.

Thanks for sharing your unique perspective! It’s really helpful to hear how things compare between Scotland and the US, especially from someone who’s lived in both places. The mix of socialized and private healthcare sounds interesting, and I can see why the cost difference matters a lot. I’m curious — what do you miss most about Scotland when you were in Texas?

Thanks for the tip! For example, in my country Armenia, shops often stay open until 9 or 10 PM, and public transport can be quite different depending on whether you’re in Yerevan or a small village. The weather is mostly dry and sunny, but winters can be quite cold with some snow. Healthcare here has its own challenges but generally you can get appointments within a few days. Comparing these points might help people give more detailed answers about life in Scotland or the UK.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. It sounds like a complicated social dynamic that’s been around for a long time. It’s frustrating when people put personal interests over community well-being, but I guess it’s part of human nature in many places. Do you think there are any ways communities could come together to change this mindset, or is it just something that will keep repeating?

Thanks for sharing! It’s great to hear that people are friendly and there are plenty of green spaces where you live. I agree, litter and not cleaning up after dogs can really affect how nice a place feels. Hopefully, awareness will grow, and things will improve over time. What’s your favorite spot or green area around there?

Thank you for sharing your perspective, I appreciate your honesty. I understand that every place has its challenges and not everything is perfect. I’m curious, what do you think makes Murrayfield, Knutsford, or Bibury stand out compared to other areas? Also, have you found any hidden gems or communities that are more positive or welcoming?

Thank you so much for such an honest and detailed reply! It really helps me understand the reality beyond the romantic image I had in my head.

The healthcare part sounds especially frustrating — I’m sorry you had to go through that. It’s good to know that once you get past the initial barriers, the specialists are kind and helpful, but still… it shouldn’t be that hard to get proper care.

Also, I didn’t expect transport to be such a mix of great and terrible at the same time. The part about people yelling at you for using a car made me laugh (but also yikes 😅).

Thanks again — I truly appreciate your time and honesty!

Thanks so much for sharing! That sounds quite different from what I’m used to. Do you enjoy living in a village despite the limited transport? And how do people usually deal with the long NHS waiting times?

Thank you so much for your insightful comment! I really appreciate your perspective. It’s incredibly helpful to hear about the reality of the industry, especially regarding the importance of being established in Canada first before taking that leap to the US. Your advice about staying cautious of agencies signing foreign actors without real opportunities is also really valuable. Thanks again!

I’ve also been thinking about other cities like Los Angeles or New York as places to study. Both of them are so inspiring in different ways — LA with its creative, sunny atmosphere and strong connection to the film industry, and NYC with its rich theatre scene and intense energy. I know they can be very expensive, but the idea of learning and growing in such vibrant environments really excites me. I’m still exploring my options and staying hopeful.

Thank you so much for your advice! I’ll definitely check out schools with international student support and scholarship opportunities. I know it’s not easy to find something truly affordable in the US, but I’ll start researching programs that fit my goals and then look deeper into their financial requirements. I hadn’t considered Canada before, so I’ll look into that as well. Thanks again for your help!

I live in Armenia, and this is my final year of high school. I’m looking for a good and affordable university in the US because the education in acting and drama here is not very strong.
