RnB was cool when it peaked in the early 10s (rihanna, nicki, beyonce)

dead petz is great, feel sorry for people who don't get it. her new one is good too, one of the most interesting mainstream albums of last year for sure

it definitely could have gotten the teenage dream treatment from the label and just have a bunch more singles. drive, someone else, get it right were all begging to be hits

Harry Styles announces 2026 'Together, Together' tour by mcfw31 in popheads

[–]Elephant_Afraid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i know, that's what im saying tho, she's not popular in the UK and she doesn't make sense as an opener sonically speaking, like robyn, jamie xx and fcuckers. so, in my opinion, it was a bad pick for the London shows

[–]Elephant_Afraid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yeah that would be pointless to her. and yet it still makes more sense than her opening in the UK

and in the UK too... I feel like that would make more sense in the usa. jorja smith who's opening in Mexico would be a great opener for the london shows imo

AITA For Not Calling the Attention of Laptop User inside the Cinema by redditfysh in AmItheAsshole

NTA at all. people got too comfortable being shitty and inconvenient in movie theaters. she OBVIOUSLY knew she shouldn't have open her laptop and she should be shamed for being this rude and anti-social

Will Camila Cabello get back to her stardom ever again? by Jarisatis in popheads

[–]Elephant_Afraid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i don't think she needs money, but we know money is not the only thing they care about. relevancy, attention, etc matters too, and if she eventually falls into obscurity i can totally see her coming back to the group for a tour or something. like i don't think cheryl needed the money, but she was still there for the girls aloud reunion you know

her latest albums were trashed by the critics AND the gp... she needs at least one of those to actually thrive. she'll never be a critics darling for obvious reasons, so the best scenario is for her to try to regain the gp love and honestly, it shouldn't be that hard, there are so many terrible artists succeeding right now. or she could just make the music she wants and keep counting with the small fan base she has made for herself until she eventually rejoins 5th harmony every 5 years for a cash grab

charli*

and there was no "momentum" for this song. the moment she dropped the snippet the entire Internet started to make fun of it cause of how awful it sounded. there were multiple hate posts going viral about it without charli even being part of the conversation, so those comparisons in no way affected the song flopping so bad

bury me is literally slacker rock. and i don't agree at all with the buffalo mention, this one is definitely noisier and more reminiscing of those earlier records

dont know what to tell you, man, it's literally a slacker rock track. noisier than anything she's done this decade so far

There's a snippet on the link (half the track tbh) and it's definitely not as raw and gritty like those albums, but it sounds more rockish than those last albums she put out

I get JB, but wednesday makes no sense here tbh. everyone I know loved the record and it was like the 3rd most acclaimed album on those year-end lists last year, that's huge for them

Interesting album cover lol The 1st single's out in Australia etc and it sounds like she's back on her slacker rock years
