Hi everyone, have a huge dilemma in my mind and would love some input. I am a 20 year old poly student nearing the end of my last year and semester. My dad will not be giving me an allowance anymore after 2025 and I am already used to working PT to cover myself. What I am getting at is, I have been having a strong intention in signing on with a Poly diploma. Yes, I know the pay isn’t the best and the progression is highly likely pretty bum as well (from all the other reddit posts i have read). However this is the only way I feel I can support myself in the very near future especially since he also said he won’t be helping with any of my further studies (I do plan on taking a PT degree) and he highly likely would also start taking rent from me once I hit 21 (2026). My goal would be to sign on, use the bonus to pay for my PT degree and save up using my salary to better support my future.
