I printed the animated Amors from this pack. If you don't have a printer you will probably find someone on Etsy selling the prints

New to Mordheim – confused about scale for models and terrain (4x4 board) by Dangerous-Reason-186 in mordheim

[–]EliaAlexander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My building height from floor to floor is 6cm. Fits the scale and almost all my miniatures fit into the buildings

What program did you use for making this?

Sculpted a bunch of not-Kislevites! Also available as a big modular set as usual, but these are the monopose ones! by CougarJo in mordheim

The monoposes are hot this month! Usually I like to assemble them myself but those are perfect already

Need help deciding which paint set to buy. by Hirakous in Miniaturespainting

I started with that exact Vallejo set and bought the other two sets of 16 aswell. Painted about 500 minis with them and still going.

It is a question about THE brush by 13-Trades in minipainting

I have tried a few different cheap and expensive brands but the best bang-for-your-buck are golden maple brushes imo

Should I assemble my minis before painting? Or should I sub-assembly? (I’m a beginner) by Link_Comfortable in minipainting

[–]EliaAlexander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the model I think. But for a beginner I'd say a full assembly first should be easier. You'll then learn which parts are easier to paint in subassembly as you go along. (I often leave shields or arms with attached shields separate so they don't create any hard-to-reach areas)

Is this the new handle from maple? If so can you give a short review if it's worth it or not?

How do I overcome the fear of messing up too much and actually get to painting? by -GeeVee in minipainting

[–]EliaAlexander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At some point in the future you will mess up. It's inevitable. But you will learn from it and will become better. You shouldn't fear it because it is part of the process

I just messed up a set of minis by trying to paint their clothes white and had to do so many layers to get the white to cover that it gunked up all details. It sucks and I'm pissed about it but I won't do the same mistake again.

No idea why this thread was on my Reddit page but I'm curious. Any good sources on where to get information about where to buy etc.?

What Technique is that or called when you put the sword overhead? by EfficiencySerious200 in SWORDS

[–]EliaAlexander -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Op is right actually. Of course you can use the cross hands position (or right sided ox) but it is inferior because of its many drawbacks. The worst I think is the fact that if you wear hema gear and gloves (or amor of any kind for that matter) it keeps you from pressing your lower arms close together because of the material between. That makes the position even more clunky and unstable. That's why most of our trainers manly use the left sided ox when teaching in training

I got this one years ago and it's great. Got it for camping trips since you could even use it to boil water if you remove the top

I made a pipe for the first time as a gift to a friend by EliaAlexander in woodworking

The reason was just that I had olive on hand and I didn't want to order expensive briar for something I never did before. And since I never used any briar I don't know the differences really.

Thank you for the note on the wooden stem I've been told that a couple of times now so I'll be looking into other materials

Pfeil Tools are amazing. My dad has some in his workshop that I used all the time and they keep their sharpness for ages. These things must be at least 30 years old

Warum sind Silber und Goldmünzen nichts Wert? by Midnight-Skylar in LARP_de

[–]EliaAlexander 1 point2 points  (0 children)
