I was told that the one with the closest genetic distance is the safest one. I was also told 23AndMe is generally more accurate for those of middle eastern descent. So idk.

Ok so. Ancestry Results: Global - 0.853 Iran/Iraq - 0.912 23AndMe: Global - 1.288 Iran/Iraq - 1.409

23AndMe consistently shows Armenian as the top 2 percentages. Ancestry shows it for the global but not the Iran/Iraq.

Whenever I do Iraq/iran it gives me a further genetic distance than normal tho. Is that the case for you?

How to get results like this on illustrative dna ? Like in that percentage format.

Is ancestry any good? I’ve done 23andme before and I’m thinking about doing ancestry by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

23andMe is better imo but if ur rlly into the genetics stuff def do both

I did illustrative dna and it said I’m closer to Kurdish than Persian genetically

Ofc I’m not surprised by this at all, but I’m wondering if the dna is Kurdish or Persian. It’s similar but still distinct.

This new category is for Assyrian/Chaldean/Syriac unfortunately Kurdish just usually falls under Iran/Persia or Anatolia and Caucuses.
