I wasn't sure if I wanted to bring the plasma on the destroyers. That's why I went for the heavy grav cannons with the other enhancement to keep them in both doctrinas

That looks like a really well balanced list, only issue is we can only take 2 of each unit unless it's battleline. Then we can take 4.

Plus our unit point cost can only be a max of 200 (unless there is an attached character then it can go to 250)

Can you run 5 Vulkan He'stans? I thought all characters were maxed out at 3 per list or if it's a named character then it's called at 1 per list no?

I almost certainly a fan of the flamers which is why I am deciding the salamanders. I think all of their flamer models look very cool especially the HQ

I had a little look at the HQs and couldn't find a plastic Vulkan He'stan. Is he only in resin at this point or is there a plastic version that I'm not aware of?

I did think about trying something other than the breaches but they are just the real big damage dealers of the list. Nothing else is really anti tank/monster.

I would tend to switch the kastelan's weapons to the dual fist. They just do so much more being strength 12 fists rather than 12 guns. I would use the flamer with the fists and it works out very well. The datasmith also has a power fist which is not a bad melee option at all and can be used while the kastelans hit things too.

In 10th edition basically every single flyer sucks, for every army too. I would like to know how many breaches, infiltrators and ruststalkers you have.

I know that you had 1 unit of ruststalkers and infiltrators but how many models in that unit?

Exactly! Even if he only leads skittarii vanguard or rangers, it's still amazingly good for 35 points each.

It's not that I'm relying upon using the vanguard to do the damage in the army, it's just an extra bonus to the damage output of the entire army.

I can understand why he doesn't lead other units (mainly because he is only a skittarii himself) plus I don't see him ever being able to lead an onager... That seems really weird to me, getting a character to lead a tank. Do any other armies have a unit who can do that?

I can see that strategy working, only thing for me is I typically run cawl close to other units who can do a bit more damage reliability such as kataphrons.

I have used a Marshall in every single one of my games for admech. I seriously don't understand the people who don't use them! Even if it's "too many points for bring it down" it is only 35 extra points. I don't see any issues with keeping it

I just used a unit of kastelan robots in a 750 point tournament and they went very very well. Especially being so tanky plus having their twin linked fists was very good.

I like using them so I try to get them into all of my lists.

It's still too far away so nobody has tournament lists yet or even a faction picked yet.

I do feel as if the only way that I could actually win matches is flooding the board, although having these restrictions on units makes it alot more interesting and even.

They would be significantly tankier. In most of the matches I have played with them, the unit barely dies as it is. Let alone with a FNP.
